Dave Smith captured the Lear's fatal flight on Super 8 film on it's first and final day 30 odd years ago.
This movie clip was made by projecting the the film on the side of a refrigerator and capturing
sequences with an Olympus C2100 digital camera in movie mode. The clips were edited together and
saved in avi format for the Windows Media Player. While changing from the Quicktime MOV format the
clips were shot in degraded the quality, it also reduced the size to about 1/3 of the original. Left
click and view with browsers so equipped or right click and choose "save target as" to download the
file. With dial-up the left click will involve a long wait so it might be better in that case to save and watch later.
